The Kyvernitis Travel group recently acquired HRG Greece, a company specializing in the travel and MICE industry. According to an announcement, the agreement was finalized in late 2017 with HRG’s parent company Hogg Robinson Group. “We are delighted as this new partnership will enable us to offer our clients HRG’s technology platform, know-how and long experience. Together we will work to strengthen the network of HRG,” said Christos and George Kyvernitis, owners of Kyvernitis Travel. Under the agreement, Kyvernitis Travel will undertake HRG Greece’s financial and administrative management. “We welcome Kyvernitis Travel to our network of associates as the representative of HRG in Greece. We share a common philosophy: To offer high-quality services and safe travel experiences,” HRG global partner relationships director Susan Lancaster said. Following the purchase, the group’s turnover is expected to exceed 100 million euros, while over 100 experienced executives will be “ready to meet the travel needs of our most demanding clients in Greece and abroad,” Kyvernitis Travel said in an announcement. Lancaster also thanked outgoing CEO Thanasis Zaggogiannis for his devotion and contribution to HRG Greece, as he announced his retirement after 30 years on the company’s leaderhip.
