Aiming to enhance the connection between Greek cultural heritage and tourism, the group in 2017 sponsored cultural organizations and museums such as the Greek National Opera, the Eleftherna museum and archaeological site, art exhibitions, theater performances and events linked to Greek tradition and customs such as the Cretan Diet Festival. Grecotel also supported local educational institutions — from kindergarten schools and universities to public benefit organizations. Furthermore, in efforts to support vulnerable groups, last year Grecotel continued its collaboration with organizations such as the Vision of Hope, Make A Wish Hellas and the Smile of the Child; hospitals and social welfare centers, while it provided more than 20,000 meals to people in need in Athens, Rethymnon (Crete), Corfu and Kos. “Our goal for 2018 is to further expand our CSR activities… Our wish to offer will remain an integral part of our philosophy,” Minadakis said.
