According to an announcement, under the global hotel technology partnership, traditional hospitality businesses that use SiteMinder and meet Airbnb’s hospitality standards can quickly and seamlessly list rooms on the platform. Photo source: Airbnb “In an increasingly-complex and competitive world, SiteMinder’s partnership with Airbnb offers a new opportunity for boutique hotels and bed and breakfasts to engage the growing number of travelers who seek exceptional hospitality and an authentic local experience,” Mike Ford, managing director and founder of SiteMinder, said. The new technology developed jointly by the two companies will now make it possible for hotels to connect booking information to their existing management system in real-time. SiteMinder’s more than 28,000 clients include leading boutique hotels, hotel ownership groups, and many other hospitality providers globally. Guests can expect the locally-influenced and unique accommodations they expect when booking an Airbnb listing, the announcement said. “Small hotels and B&Bs have long used Airbnb and now we’re building new tools and partnerships to help these local businesses thrive… SiteMinder is the industry leader and we look forward to continuing to work together to support boutique hotels and bed and breakfasts around the world,” Cameron Houser, Airbnb’s program manager for hotels, said.
