On Wednesday, February 14, Athens International Airport (AIA) will welcome passengers and visitors with… Bollywood rhythms!

Passengers and visitors to the airport will have the chance to see an eruption of sounds, colors and dance moves with Indian elements, in an event organized by the 1st Bollywood Dance Academy Greece.

The Bollywood event will take place in the airport at 12 noon until 1pm at the Departures Level, in the free access area.

A group of the academy’s dancers, dressed in typical Bollywood costumes, will offer a spectacular show presenting both traditional and contemporary elements of the Indian culture.

Through the performance, the academy is aiming to introduce the audience to the beauty of Bollywood dance, which may be cheerful and groovy, but can also be nostalgic and erotic. “Yet, at all times, Bollywood conveys positive energy,” the dance academy says.

The Bollywood event is part of AIA’s “Fly me to the Moon” program, a cultural journey of concerts, performances and happenings.
