From Crete to Athens, Civitel has created four vibrant hotels and resorts that aim to offer guests memorable experiences

Civitel Hotels & Resorts represent a collection of four individually-designed, distinctive 4-star hotels — two in Athens and two on the island of Crete — offering the best of Greek hospitality aligned with international standards. The name Civitel derives from joining the words Civic and Hotel, reflecting the company’s values and expectations, honoring Greek civilization.

Respecting the past, yet living dynamically in the present, Civitel Hotels & Resorts’ intention is to present to all guests, business partners and friends the finest of Greece in a world-class ambience.

The Civitel group’s four properties are known for their warm hospitality and sophisticated balance between business and leisure.

The history of the Civitel Hotels & Resorts began over 50 years when the first property, Civitel Creta Beach, opened its gates on one of the most splendid beaches outside Heraklion, Crete. At the midpoint of its lifetime the company opened the doors of its second property — the Civitel Akali in Chania. Both hotels are designed to complement each other: Civitel Creta Beach, unique in its private bungalows and tastefully refurbished rooms, boasts an amazing Mediterranean experience while the — recently renovated — Civitel Akali provides authentic Cretan welcome exceedingly oriented to guests’ pleasure in a contemporary scenery embodied in the imaginary city of Chania, positioning itself as a superbly mixed leisure and business destination.

After establishing its brand name in Crete, Civitel Hotels & Resorts ventured to the current capital of Greek civilization, launching two new hotels in Athens.

Thus, in 2008 the company opened the Civitel Olympic, a vibrant business property located few steps away from the Olympic Stadium and themed after the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Two years later, the Civitel Attik in Maroussi opened a superlative getaway for urban stays, corporate events and social gatherings, yet also for couples and families.

In 2016, Civitel Esprit landed within the premises of Civitel Attik, adding a fresh twist of elegant accommodation and exclusive amenities, resulting in the ideal city escape.

Today, all properties offer superb opportunities for “bleisure” and adventure and at the same time their conference and business facilities bring the best of both worlds together. Each property is unique, extending the warmest welcome, elevated international standards and its vital experience of their locale. “We are committed to perfection. Our mission is simple; we intent to offer our guests genuine hospitality, truly rewarding experiences and a feeling of comfort and contentment”, as specified by George Theodorakis, owner of Civitel Hotels & Resorts.
