Aiming to tap into new markets and attract higher spending travelers, the 1st Greek Tourism Workshop — within the Greek Tourism Workshop 2018 series — was held in New Delhi last month.

Organized by Congress and Business Planners, under the auspices of the tourism ministry, with the support of Turkish Airlines, Mideast Travel and The Booking Expert, the India workshop attracted more than 140 tour operators, travel professionals and services providers who re-affirmed the interest on behalf of Indian travelers for Greece.

Addressing the delegates, Mideast Travel MD Katerina Mousbeh invited Indian participants to Greece, noting the country’s impeccable safety record as well as its diverse tourism options all year round. Mousbeh added that Greece is the ideal destination for those wishing to experience the holidays of their dreams at affordable rates with the best quality accommodation.

“Greece is a popular tourist destination, where visitors can combine good deals with excellent hotel resorts for themselves and their families, with fine food and plenty of activities that meet all their needs,” said Alp Yavuzeser, GM Turkish Airlines in Athens.

The New Delhi event was the first in the Greek Tourism Workshop series. Events to follow will be carried out in Kuwait City on February 20, Riyadh on March 21, Dubai on April 21, and in Beirut on May 2.
