Athens-based investor and developer Zeus International has taken on the management of the Hilton Garden Inn located in Malpensa, Milan, expanding its presence on the Italian hospitality market.

As part of its ongoing expansion strategy, Zeus International stepped in on February 1, and now manages the Hilton hotel in addition to its recent strategic partnership with Wyndham Grand making it the first company to manage member hotels of two of the world’s largest chains.

The 207-room Hilton Garden Inn is located some 7km from the Milan-Malpensa Airport and offers top conference facilities that can accommodate approximately 700 people.

At the same time, as part of its development plan, Zeus International set up offices in Italy last year moving ahead with a thorough assessment of the market and looking into future investment opportunities.

“Following successful hotel development projects in Greece, and the management of units in the Balkans and Cyprus, we are now expanding our presence in the demanding market of Italy. In this way we are demonstrating that Greek experience in the development and management of hotel units can be an exportable ‘product’,” said Haris Siganos, Zeus International founder.

“At the same time, we are continuing our assessment of more hotel units on this market.”
