Air France Strike on February 22: Update for Athens, Paris Flights

A strike called by Air France worker unions for Thursday, February 22, will see half the airline’s long-haul flights from Paris cancelled, the company has said.

According to Air France, 75 percent of its normal flight program is guaranteed to operate, with 75 percent of its medium-haul flights to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and 85 percent of its short-haul flights operating as normal. However, the airline said that disruptions and delays are to be expected.

Air France flights operated by other airlines (except Joon), will not be affected by the strike.

The Air France office in Greece has notified that two flights will be cancelled on the Paris-Athens-Paris route:

February 22 – AF1032 Paris-Athens
February 23 – AF1033 Athens-Paris

Customers whose flight is cancelled will receive a full refund, according to Air France.

According to media reports, worker unions representing Air France pilots, cabin crew and ground staff called the strike amid demands for a six percent pay rise, which the airline has refused to meet.
