7 Summits – 2 Women – 1 Vision

Two Greek women, Vanessa Archontidou and Christina Flambouri, have taken the challenge of the “7 Summits Project”, and will attempt to climb on top of three of the tallest mountains in the world.

Under the motto, “A Woman Can Be”, the “7 Summits Project” aims to show that women can be educated, successful professionals and devoted mothers.

In an effort to become the first Greek women to climb Carstenz Pyramid in Oceania, the Vinson Massif in Antarctica and the Everest mountain in Asia, Vanessa and Christina are planning to start their journey within 2018.

Both ladies have also climbed the Kilimanjaro mountain in Africa, the Aconcagua in South America, the Elbrus in Europe and the Mc Kinley in North America.

The “7 Summits Project” urges participants to take the challenge and reach the highest mountain peaks of the seven continents. Seventy one women from all over the world have successfully completed the project so far.
