The first educational events of the “OnTour” Tourism School initiative, recently launched by the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) and the SETE Institute (INSETE), will be held in the area of Mount Olympos and on the islands of Poros, Skiathos and Chios , starting in April and until May.

Jointly organized by INSETE and the Kalamata Tourism School, the educational initiative aims at providing tourism professionals with know-how, ideas, skills, incentives and inspiration. “It is addressed to all those who are directly or indirectly involved in the tourism sector and affect the local tourism product and services,” an announcement said.

The initiative will include educational events throughout Greece in efforts to offer information and professional training; bring local communities closer; develop synergies and promote the values of volunteerism and competition. Each “OnTour” Tourism School will be coordinated by a local group of volunteers headed by a “Local Ambassador”.

The “OnTour” Tourism School initiative is implemented through SETE Training, the educational and vocational training pillar of INSETE, with the participation of specialized professionals, under the auspices of the International Hellenic University and the support of Aegean Airlines; public relations agency Effect Communication and customer experience survey platform “E-Survey”.
