Travelife is dedicated to making holidays more sustainable. It works with travel and tourism enterprises around the world to support them in their efforts to improve their social, economic and environmental impacts. To achieve Travelife Gold Certification a resort must meet 163 criteria. These include environmental issues, such as minimizing waste and the use of energy, water and chemicals, as well performing positive action on social issues, employee welfare and the protection of flora and fauna. According to an announcement, the guests of Princess Andriana Resort & Spa are actively involved in its sustainability programs, which include beach cleaning events, recycling practices and a linen reuse program. “This is a way for the resort to contribute to the protection of the area’s unique natural and cultural features; raise awareness among its guests on environmental issues and continue to attract tourism in the future,” the announcement said. Founded in 1993, the H Hotels Collection group includes six hotels on the island of Rhodes, with more than 2,000 rooms available and a wide range of accommodation services for all travelers.
