Aiming to establish a dialogue between senior shipping executives and the younger generation of tourism entrepreneurs, YES Forum (Young Executives Shipping Forum) is organizing the 2nd YES To Shipping Forum”, which will take place on June 8, during the Ρosidonia Exhibition 2018 at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens.

The YES Forum is a leading platform of open dialogue between decision makers of Greek shipping, the sea tourism industry and entrepreneurship, principals, executives, university students and graduates.

An initiative of Danae Bezantakou, CEO of Navigator Shipping Consultants, the first event was held in 2016 and attracted more than 1,300 delegates. “Our aim is for the next generation to learn more on the history of Greek shipping… as well as to exercise and practice its networking skills,” the forum’s organizers said in an announcement.

An ongoing project, the YES Forum runs all year round with open days, daily internships, monthly meetings with the YES Forum team, and presentations at Greek universities and schools.

“We must encourage the dialogue in order to motivate young people to get involved in entrepreneurship, learn more on the prospects and opportunities and pass on our experience so that Greece continues to evolve,” the organizers said.

Delegates to the “YES To Shipping Forum” will have the opportunity to participate in organized visits to the Posidonia Exhibition stands and become familiar with the shipping industry and its services.

According to the organizers, the “YES To Shipping Forum” is the first forum to be held under the auspices of the Ministries of Shipping and Education and the majority of Greek Universities, organized by a team of 40 volunteers.
