The donation covered basic expenses of the conference, as well as the accommodation needs of delegates. Held between March 16 and 18 in the northern port city, the conference hosted prominent sports medicine doctors and experts from Greece and abroad. “Makedonia Palace recognizes the value of sports medicine on a global level and the need to support such initiatives, which convey up-to-date data to the sports and medical sector,” the hotel said in an announcement. Furthermore, the hotel actively invests in health and sports, “by acknowledging the significance and necessity for progress in these sectors”. The Sports Medicine Association of Greece is a scientific organization aiming to promote the science of sports medicine. Its conference is considered a leading event and has been taking place annually for the last 27 years.
