Digital Policy Minister Nikos Pappas The event focused on the ministry’s “New Investment Incentive for the Production of Film and Audiovisual Works in Greece”, which was attended by film industry professionals including producers, directors and actors. “The new plan to support audiovisual productions has exceptional advantages, said Pappas, adding that “75 million euros have already been secured” and inviting industry professionals to embrace it and help it grow. “The world of art can act as a steam engine multiplying the positive effects. It can become a cutting-edge industry behind a recovering Greece,” he said. Kretsos meanwhile, added that the scheme ensures “transparency” and fast-track procedures for immediate funding without bureaucratic delays, adding that it is vital to “spread out the agenda, discuss the course of action and evaluate”.
