Maris Hotels Holds Corporate Trip, Brings Staff Closer Together

A few days before the official start of the summer tourism season, the Metaxas Group of Companies, owner of Creta Maris, Candia Maris and Santo Maris hotels, organized a corporate three-day trip and took its employees to the city of Chania on the island of Crete.

As part of its “Staff Welcome Day” annual initiative, a total of 300 employees had the opportunity to combine their briefing and preparation activities with entertainment, relaxation and team bonding events.

“We are proud of the people of Maris Hotels and we take every opportunity to show our appreciation and reward them,” said Metaxas Group of Companies Chairman and Managing Director Andreas Metaxas.

“Our team is strongly connected… we call each other by our first name… we are family. Every day we provide our guests with our best smile, aiming to offer excellent experiences of Greek hospitality,” he added.

The Creta Maris employees were transferred to Chania by the Iakovos Travel agency and resided at the local hotels Porto Veneziano, Akali Hotel, Kriti Hotel, Kydon Hotel, Samaria and Arkadi.

Their stay included meals at the taverns “Meterizi” and “Leventogiannis” in the historic village of Therisso, as well as at the “Thymeli” estate were they also listened to live music by Dimitris Makridakis and his orchestra.

The Metaxas Group of Companies has been operating on Crete since 1975, the year when the group’s first hotel, Creta Maris Beach Resort, was established in Hersonissos. Today the group also owns the TUI Magic Life Candia Maris on Crete and the Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa on Santorini; it operates the Creta Convention Center and is actively involved in real estate sector.
