Photo: © Maria Theofanopoulou Marketing Greece, the private marketing company for Greek tourism, on Wednesday released its publicity report that includes a series of promotional actions covering the January-March 2018 period. According to the report, during the three first months of the year, the company’s actions included a number of cooperations with leading media outlets with the focus on Greece. Ιndicatively: German news agency (DPA) German news agency DPA published a story on the Keramikos district in the Greek capital’s city center, written by journalist Patrizia Schlosser, who outlined why it is a part of Athens that is flourishing. The feature has already been reproduced by 100 print and online media, among them Focus, TZ-Online, Münchner Merkur and Web.de. BBC-RTE BBC One Northern Ireland and Irish television network RTÉ One aired an episode of travel show Getaways dedicated almost exclusively to Rhodes and Symi. Presenters of the half-hour program, Mairead Ronan and Joe Lindsay, showcased Rhodes’ old and new town, Lindos town and its Acropolis and other historical attractions. Broadcast: RTÉ One – 335,000 viewers, BBC One Northern Ireland – 100,000 viewers. Condé Nast Traveller Spain The Spanish edition of Condé Nast Traveler published a series of travel features written by travel editor Marta Sader Garcia outlining her experiences on a 15-day road trip through mainland Greece. Her stories focused on Pelion, Meteora and Zagori. Garcia also wrote a separate travel feature outlining how Greece “will be one of the destinations to triumph in 2018”, including its vibrant cities, cuisine and hospitality. The online feature was shared more than 2,000 times via social media. ELLE Belgique The Belgian edition of women’s lifestyle magazine Elle traces a culinary journey through Sifnos via a seven-page travel feature highlighting reasons that make the island unique. The writer places special emphasis on the authenticity of the island and its traditional cuisine. The story was also published in the Dutch edition of Elle. The Guardian UK daily newspaper The Guardian published an two-page in – depth travel destination feature on Tinos, in print and online, focusing on the evolution of the island’s culinary scene, highlighting a winemaking revival, an innovative gastronomy initiatives and traditional products.
