MEDYS 2018

The coastal town of Nafplio in eastern Peloponnese is preparing to host the 5th Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) 2018, which once again will feature an impressive lineup of luxury yachts available for viewing.

The MEDYS 2018 will take place from April 28 until May 1, with the participation of industry professionals, who aim to promote yachting tourism in Greece.

MEDYS 2018During the four-day show, attendees will have the opportunity to inspect a wide range of yachts, learn more on the high-standard services and amenities available, and experience excellent hospitality once welcomed aboard by the captains and crews.

The yacht show will again host the popular Chefs’ Competition, with the participation of some of the country’s finest chefs, who are currently part of professional yachting crews. The contestants will be called to create unique dishes in accordance with the “Surf ‘n’ Turf” cuisine, which combines seafood and red meat. The judging committee consists of award-winning Greek and foreign chefs.

The winners of the Chef’s Competition will be announced during the MEDYS 2018 farewell party and awards ceremony on May 1.

Additionally, the MEDYS “tablescaping” award returns and will run in parallel with the Chefs’ Competition, providing crews with the chance to show off their creativity in setting a lavish dining table.

The MEDYS 2018 opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 28, at 7 pm at the Naplion port, while a special welcome reception will follow at 8 pm at the landmark Venetian Palamidi Fortress.

The 5th MEDYS 2018 is organized by the Greek Yachting Association (GYA).
