Air Travel Aeromexico, Jet Airways Connect Mexico and India with Codeshare Flights by GTP editing team 27 April 2018 written by GTP editing team 27 April 2018 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 7 Mexico’s global airline Aeromexico and Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, as of May 1 will connect Mexico and India through a codeshare agreement. “The start of this codeshare agreement is further proof that Aeromexico continues to work towards connecting its customers to the most important regions of the world,” said Aeromexico Chief Revenue Officer Anko van der Werff. According to the agreement, passengers will be able to travel to and from both countries through connections via London’s Heathrow Airport to Mexico City, Delhi or Mumbai. “This is why it was fundamental to have this alliance with our partner Jet Airways, in order to offer better connectivity options for our passengers to India, a country featuring continued growth of its economic activities and diverse tourism industry,” he added. The codeshare agreement is expected to help strengthen trade and tourism between both countries that have experienced a 15 percent annual growth rate over the last three years. “We are confident that this relationship will help facilitate demand for not only leisure but also in the fast growing trade and business cooperation areas between both nations,” said Gaurang Shetty, Whole Time Director at Jet Airways. Jet Airways currently operates flights to 65 destinations, including India and overseas. Gold Star Aviation is the general sales agent of Jet Airways in Greece. Aeromexico offers more than 600 daily flights and operates its main hub out of Terminal 2 at the Mexico City International Airport.
