Voting open until May 20

Greece will welcome the World Travel Awards (WTA) to Athens for the second time, with the Europe Gala Ceremony 2018 set to take place in the Zappeion Megaron Hall. WTA was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.

The red-carpet event will take place on June 30, with industry leaders from across the continent in attendance.

The event will be the second stop on the WTA Grand Tour 2018, which marks WTA’s 25th anniversary of honoring excellence in the international hospitality industry.

“WTA has maintained its position as the industry leader for the past 25 years, consistently proving its value as the global benchmark for excellence in the hospitality business,” WTA President & Founder Graham Cooke said.

“This year will be extra special as we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary, so there is a lot to look forward to – including our Europe Gala Ceremony 2018 in Greece’s incredible capital.”

Located in the National Gardens of Athens, the Zappeion Megaron Hall will provide a stunning backdrop to the Europe Gala Ceremony.

More than 300 guests are expected to attend, representing the elite of the European hospitality industry.

Partners include Greek hotel management company HotelBrain, the Greek Tourism Ministry and the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).

Voting is still open for the WTA Europe Gala Ceremony 2018.

Voters – both members of the public and from within the hospitality industry – have until May 20 to make their voices heard ahead of the prestigious event.

Ballots can be cast here.
