During the show, which every year attracts a great number of tourism industry professionals, media representatives from all over the world and visitors, the stand of the Region of Attica will provide information to the public, yacht brokers as well as travel agents, aiming to develop common activities and synergies. “All the more visitors discover the sea tours and high-quality services provided by specialized professionals in Attica, alongside some of the most significant world cultural heritage monuments,” executive regional councilor for tourism Eleni Dimopoulou said in an announcement. Among Attica’s main features to be promoted during the show is its coastline and the Saronic islands; its network of tourism professionals and marinas which offer safety for all types of vessels; the option of combining sea activities with visits to unique archaeological sites, museums and monuments in Athens, Piraeus and the Saronic Gulf. Photo Source: Municipality of Piraeus “Our plans for the next three years foresee, among others, the organization of theme fam trips and road shows, as well as our participation in exhibitions and workshops focusing on sea activities and island hopping,” Dimopoulou added. The 17th East Med Yacht Show opened its doors on May 3 and will run until May 6. It presents more than 60 craft — motor yachts, sailing yachts, catamarans and bareboats — available for hire and for sale, as well as 50 stands manned by Greek chartering companies, travel agents and shipbrokers.
