Event News ‘YES to Shipping Forum 2018’ to Focus on Industry’s History and Future by GTP editing team 4 June 2018 written by GTP editing team 4 June 2018 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 8 The YES Forum (Young Executives Shipping Forum), a leading platform of open dialogue on shipping and sea tourism issues, for the third consecutive year is organizing the “YES To Shipping Forum 2018”, which will take place on June 8, during the Ρosidonia Exhibition 2018 at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens. An initiative of Danae Bezantakou, CEO of Navigator Shipping Consultants, the forum will feature Greek shipping and sea tourism industry decision makers and executives, entrepreneurs, university students and graduates. The President of the Union of Greek Shipowners, Theodoros Veniamis, will address the forum’s opening. Furthermore, the forum’s moderators include senior industry executives such as George Teriakidis, Regional Manager of Business Development at DNV GL Maritime; George Xiradakis, Chief Executive of XRTC Business Consultants Ltd and President of the Propeller Club (Port of Piraeus); Danae Bezentakou, CEO of Navigator Shipping Consultants and Katerina Stathopoulou, Executive Director of Investments and Finance LTD. Delegates to the “YES To Shipping Forum” will have the opportunity to participate in organized visits to the Posidonia Exhibition stands and become familiar with the shipping industry and its services. Danae Bezantakou “Our aim is for the next generation to learn more on the history of Greek shipping… as well as to exercise and practice its networking skills,” the organizers said in an announcement. The YES To Shipping Forum 2018 is co-organized by a number of Greek universities and team of 60 volunteers, and will be held under the auspices of the Greek Ministries of Shipping and Education.
