The cleanup operation took place with the voluntary participation of 70 employees, as well as guests of Maris Hotels. The Kastri/Creta Maris beach. Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa Both Kastri and Ammoudara beaches have been awarded with the Blue Flag this year. In addition, the volunteers of Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa cleaned the Baxedes beach on the island of Santorini. “The initiative is part of the group’s vision to offer authentic hospitality and proves its environmental consciousness,” Maris Hotels said in an announcement. “The group’s multi-sided Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability program aims to encourage employees and guests to participate in such activities, in order to maintain the purity and beauty of the Mediterranean coast and its marine wealth.” Maris Hotels belongs to the Metaxas Group of Companies, which is currently active with three hotels on Crete and Santorini.
