A private protocol provided by Local Production & Hospitality SA, We do Local aims to offer a diversified tourism product that promotes Greek customs and supports local cuisine and producers. Its goal includes increasing every area’s manpower with respect to the environment and sustainability. According to an announcement, the TÜV Hellas certificate ensures that the aforementioned principles and the private certification protocol are applied. The Greek Breakfast seal, an initiative launched by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH) in 2010, aims to further enrich the breakfast menu offered by Greek hotels with local agricultural products and traditional specialties that promote the gastronomy of each tourism destination. The initiative also promotes the gastronomy legacy through recipes prepared with local seasonal products. Furthermore, it verifies that the hotel’s suppliers are certified and included in the HCH registry. A subsidiary of the German TÜV NORD Group, TÜV Hellas has been active in Greece since 1987, offering inspection and certification services to companies of the public and private sector.
