Greek railway company Trainose has entered into a collaboration with PayPal, one of the world’s leading online payment systems, in efforts to facilitate travelers when purchasing tickets through the internet.

“With the PayPal payment option, we upgrade the online ticketing experience we offer to our passengers, also making it easier to access our services,” said Trainose CEO Philippos Tsalides.

Greece has evolved into a key market for PayPal, as it is expected to welcome some 32 million visitors in 2018, including travelers from the US, the UK and Germany, where three out four residents use the Paypal system.

In efforts to further facilitate travelers, PayPal has officially launched its website in Greek.

To celebrate the cooperation, a Trainose train in PayPal livery will run on the Piraeus Port – Athens International Airport route over the next few months.

Trainose has been a member of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (FSI) Group, since September 2017.
