The Creta Maris Beach Resort on Crete recently held its annual “Blood Donation Day” under the auspices of Venizelio Pananeio – General Hospital of Heraklion.

Putting into practice the message “Give blood, save lives”, 40 employees and the resort’s management team, after receiving the final approval of the responsible physician, participated in the annual blood donation.

Creta Maris Beach Resort management introduced the Blood Donation Day for the first time in 1992, aiming to encourage employees and members of the local community, to become volunteer blood donors.

The strong response of the staff resulted in the annual establishment of the blood donation program and the creation of a Blood Bank at the Venizelio Hospital of Heraklion that serves dozens of surgeries and serious incidents.

Creta Maris Beach Resort belongs to Metaxas Group of Companies and has been operating since 1975.
