The latest trends and developments in the Greek maritime sector will be on the focus of the 1st Shipping Decision Makers Weekend, which will be held on the occasion of the 18th Navigator Forum between September 21 and 23, on the island of Chios.

Organized annually since 2001 by Navigator Shipping Consultants, the Navigator Forum aims to discuss critical issues related to the maritime community, with the participation of prominent speakers from the shipping industry.

Chios will be the honored island of the 18th Navigator Forum – 1st Shipping Decision Makers Weekend.

The forum this year “returns to Greece’s maritime roots by taking place on the island of Chios, the birthplace of many ship owners, executives and seafarers,” an announcement said. It will focus on logistics, technology and innovation, IMO and environmental regulations, education and maritime trends.

In 2017, the 17th Navigator Forum took place at the SS Hellas Liberty floating museum in Piraeus with the participation of 700 decision makers of the Greek maritime community. Furthermore, during the five previous years the forum has honored the islands of OinoussesHydraLesvos and the port city of Piraeus.
