Greek Tourism Giants Sbokos-Vassilakis Join Forces

Evergolf Tourist Investments, owned by the Vassilakis family, announced on Tuesday, that it has teamed up with Golf Residences, owned by the Sbokos family (Sbokos Hotel Group), following its acquisition of a majority stake in the latter.

Agapi and Kostantza Sbokou will remain shareholders in Golf Residences, operator of a number of hotels on Crete, and will retain full participation in and management of the hotel units.

With a total capacity of 3,020 beds, Golf Residences operates through Sbokos Hotel Group the 4-star Agapi Beach in Heraklion, the 5-star Blue Palace, A Luxury Collection Resort and Spa in Elounda, the 5-star Cretan Malia Park, Koutouloufari Village Holiday Club, and Village Heights Golf Resort. Golf Residences also holds a 50 percent share in the Sheraton Rhodes Resort.

Evergolf Tourist Investments has no shareholding connection with the two ASE listed and Vassilakis-interest companies: Autohellas and Aegean Airlines.
