Titled “We Are the Environment”, the program is based on education and social provision and consists of two phases, aiming to raise awareness and protect the natural environment with the support of private sector companies and organizations. Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa More specifically, during the first phase of the program, the students of Santorini’s three high schools were informed on key issues, such as the environmental hazards of the excessive use of plastic. Within this framework, a number of interactive educational workshops were held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Education, with the participation of the Archipelagos – Institute of Marine Conversation, the Hellenic Oceanographers Association, and the organizations Aegean Rebreath, iSea and Greenest. The workshops were followed by the program’s second phase, which included the creation of “WaterBags”, the eco-friendly bags made of cloth. The WaterBags will be distributed to the public until early October, through specific selling points and supporters of the program, while the proceeds will be donated to the schools that participated in the initiative.
