Avis, a leading car rental company in Greece, on Thursday announced that it will offer its support to the victims of the devastating wildfires in Attica, Greece, for as long as necessary.

The company has already supplied trucks to the Scouts of Greece to transport donations to the fire-stricken areas, as well as vehicles from its fleet to the Municipality of Marathon for the transport of people and essential items.

Moreover, a number of Avis employees set up a volunteer team that will offer assistance to the fire-stricken areas, in cooperation with the competent authorities and voluntary organizations.

Avis will also make a financial donation to cover needs of organizations that are supporting the wildfire victims.

“During these tragic moments for our country, our thoughts lie with our fellow citizens who have been hit by the fires. With deep sadness and much care, we at Avis remain on hand to offer our help whenever and wherever it is needed,” Avis said in an announcement.
