More than 300 journalists, influencers and customers from 13 countries recently traveled to Athens, Mykonos, Antiparos  and Paros to attend a mega PR event held by Greek spirits company METAXA and Athens bar “The Clumsies”, in collaboration with Greek communications and marketing agency Travelworks.

Titled “METAXA & The Clumsies Explore Greece”, the event was held on the occasion of the spirit brand’s 130 years of creation.

Within this framework, a sailing boat hosting five of the world’s top bartenders explored the three stunning Greek islands, creating three unique experiences.

Travelworks was selected by the House of Metaxa to make the hospitality arrangements for the event. Its 10-member team monitored the full roll out of the seven-day project.

“From market leader liaison, flight ticketing coordination, VIP services, transfer coordination and hotel reservations, to yacht chartering and itinerary planning, gift bag dissemination and venue security, Travelworks undertook responsibility for all the hospitality requirements needed for one of Greece’s biggest international PR events of 2018,” Travelworks said in an announcement.

According to the announcement, the 300 guests arrived and departed on more than 360 flights and stayed in 21 of Greece’s leading hotels. Over 250 transfers were required for the guests during their stay.

Travelworks’ team currently caters for the marketing needs of more than 25 brands, covering anything from media relations and content creation to carefully crafted newsletter campaigns, social media and B2B marketing material.
