The 13,291 flights operated for the month were also a 5.5 percent increase on July 2017. Total July capacity, measured in available seat-kilometres (ASK), was up 3.7 percent on the prior-year period. Total traffic volume, measured in revenue passenger-kilometres (RPK), was raised 4.7 percent. Systemwide seat load factor improved accordingly, rising 0.8 percentage points to 89.5 percent. SWISS is the airline of Switzerland, serving over 100 destinations in 43 countries worldwide from Zurich, Geneva and Lugano and carrying some 17 million passengers a year with its 90-aircraft fleet.
