The unique accolade is granted only to those businesses that have won the platform’s Certificate of Excellence for five years in a row. Photo source: Alternative Athens The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on the TripAdvisor platform over a 12-month period and the designation is presented to approximately 10 percent of total businesses in the platform. According to an announcement, Alternative Athens’ activities overall have aggregated 858 reviews, of which 92 percent are “Excellent”. “We are focused on excellence. TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame is the result of our team’s consistent effort to provide our guests with top-quality, experience- based tours and trips,” Alternative Athens’ founder Tina Kyriakis said. Thanks to its innovative approach to tours and activities in Athens and Greece, Alternative Athens has garnered worldwide recognition with press coverage from world-class publications. This year, it launched original tours in the destinations of Olympia, Meteora, Delphi, Mycenae and on the islands of Hydra and Aegina, with a focus on local activities that highlight the uniqueness of each area.
