Speaking this week on Greek public broadcaster ERT1, Spirtzis said the bill covering the waterway project would be tabled in parliament by the end of summer, while the Kastelli Airport venture still needs the approval of the tender agreement set for September. Other projects in the pipeline include the Thriasio, which involves the development of a freight center and Crete’s North Road Axis, “both crucial to the country’s reconstruction”, the minister said. Spirtzis did not however refer to specific dates for any project. With regard to the waterway network, which would connect the Greek islands via seaplanes, “the relevant bill has been tabled in parliament … hinging on the approval of the economy ministry set for summer”, Spirtzis said.
