The ITB Berlin 2019, scheduled to take place between March 6-10, will include a new exhibition area devoted exclusively to Technology, Tours & Activities (TTA), along with networking events, workshops and conference sessions.

Technology, Tours & Activities (TTA) is one of the tourism industry’s fastest-growing segments. According to Phocuswright, the international travel research institute, tours and activities make up around 10 percent of the global travel market – more than rail travel, car hire and cruises combined.

According to an announcement, the brand new Technology, Tours & Activities segment is the first of its kind in Europe and gathers the tourism industry’s most important groups at ITB Berlin, who all share the same goal: promoting and selling in-destination services. Both major players and small startups will be showcasing their innovative products in this new exhibition and meeting area in the Adventure Travel Hall (4.1).

“We look forward to being the first to provide the TTA segment with a new international forum at ITB Berlin 2019 and to helping to shape the tourism industry’s third-largest market,” said David Ruetz, head of ITB Berlin.

Furthermore, during the eTravel World, on March 6, 2019, all eyes will be on the TTA Forum, which features panel discussions, workshops and an extra networking event at the eTravel Lab in hall 7.1b.

Moreover, on March 7, at the Business Day, the focus will be on products at the TTA marketplace in Hall 4.1, while on March 8, a TTA Special for startups will take place at the Startup Day at the eTravel World in hall 6.1.

Parallel with the show, the ITB Berlin Convention will be held from March 6-9, with free admission for trade visitors and exhibitors.

ITB Berlin is among the world’s leading travel trade shows. In 2018 a total of 10,000 companies and organisations from 186 countries exhibited their products and services to around 170,000 visitors, including 110.000 trade visitors.
