TUI Austria: Demand for Greece will Remain High for Summer 2019

Travel group TUI Austria has announced that it is taking flight and hotel bookings from now for Greece for the 2019 summer holiday season.

“This year, Greece was once again the most popular destination for Austrian guests of TUI,” Lisa Weddig, managing director of TUI Austria, said on Tuesday.

“Demand for Greece this year has increased even further compared to 2017, so we were fully booked for some dates. For this reason, we are making our flights bookable earlier for the summer of 2019,” Weddig said, adding that TUI is positive that demand will remain high for Greece in summer 2019.

According to Weddig, reservations for 2019 can already be made for 55 flights per week to Greek destinations of which 16 are charter flights.

From Vienna there will be many weekly flights to Crete, Rhodes, Kos or Corfu, while there are also offers to Greek destinations with direct flights from the Austrian cities of Graz, Leeds and Innsbruck. Salzburg’s flight program is expected to be announced soon.

In order to offer more flexibility to its customers for a holiday in Greece next summer, TUI Austria has announced Germania as a new flight partner to Greece, in addition to the airline companies myAustrian and Eurowings.

“The large selection of flight partners, departure airports and flight days offers our guests even greater flexibility,” Weddig said.

Morover, bookings can also be made from now at many hotels in Greece that are included in TUI’s portfolio, including the brands of Robinson, TUI Magic Life and TUI Sensimar.

In January, TUI Austria confirmed that Greece topped the preferences of Austrian travelers and increased its flights to the country by 25 percent for the summer of 2018 and expanded its hotel portfolio.
