Greece’s most significant aviation event, the Athens Flying Week Tanagra International Air Show 2018, counting over 350,000 fans from all over the world, will “take off” once again from the Tanagra Air Base during September 22 and 23.

The two-day event will include spectacular stunts by 34 teams and pilots including Belgium’s Air Force F-16 Demo Team; the Spanish Air Force; Dutch Pilot Frank Van Houten; four times world champion and Red Bull X Glider Official Pilot Luca Bertossio, and Advanced Glider Aerobatics World Champion Johan Gustafsson.

The Hellenic Air Force and the Navy, as well as the Hellenic Army Aviation, will also participate to showcase their aircraft and elite forces.

Furthermore, skydiving experts from Hellenic Skydivers and Skydive Attica will perform spectacular stunts and offer information to those who wish to live the experience.

Historic and contemporary aircraft will be on display such as the F-16 from Belgium, the F-18 from Spain and the Casa C-295 from Poland, for visitors to see and receive information by expert pilots and mechanics.

The event will also include an exact replica of a military camp of the 1940-45 period, presented by the Greek Army Reenacting Team.

In addition, the 7th AFW Aviation Development Conference will take place on September 18, focusing on geopolitics and issues that concern the aviation industry and the military air forces.
