Aqua Vista Hotels Hosts Art Happening at ‘Aqua Gallery’

Greek hotel management company Aqua Vista Hotels recently presented a new group art exhibition, organized within the framework of its #Rest@rt cultural platform, at its avant-garde Aqua Gallery, which is currently operating in the premises of Art Hotel on the island of Santorini.

According to an announcement, this is the third exhibition taking place this summer at the unique venue, and features the works of 30 Greek artists.

The inauguration ceremony took place on September 1, in the presence of a large number of guests, who had the opportunity to enjoy an evening of music and visual art.

“They joined the members of the Aqua Vista Hotels executive team and celebrated an evening dedicated to contemporary aesthetics,” the announcement said. Local dignitaries, art aficionados and the island’s visitors were impressed by the innovative works on display.

“It gives us great satisfaction to see that our initiative in cultural tourism is received with such enthusiasm and that our collaboration with #Rest@rt continues to be productive,”  Sofia Matzourani, Business Development Manager at Aqua Vista Hotels said during the opening event.

“Our aim is to organize even more events at Aqua Gallery and elsewhere, which – we hope – will make hoteliers see the ways that such cultural activities can help them make their units stand out in this fiercely competitive market, and offer an optimum guest experience which will invariably lead to increasing revenues,” she added.

“My Heaven”

Under the direction of #Rest@rt’s Dimitris Lazarou and titled “My Heaven”, the last exhibition of the season has called on the contributing artists to depict their own personal view of peace and tranquility.

Furthermore, Greek electronic music producer Tassos Petsas was responsible for the video editing of the artworks, and the creation of a new instrumental piece that accompanied the event.

The project was carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).

The award-winning gallery is managed by Aqua Vista Hotels as part of its efforts to promote cultural tourism, within the framework of its collaboration with the #Rest@rt Con-temporary Art Platform.
