The areas of cooperation mentioned in the memorandum refer to personnel training, know-how, information exchange and developing initiatives for environmental protection.

According to the MoU, the main objective of the cooperation of the two ports is the implementation of best practices in port management that will enable the development of trade and supply chain.

The PPA has also signed similar agreements with the ports of Shanghai and Qingdao.

Guangzhou Port is the main seaport of Guangzhou city in China and operated by Guangzhou Port Group Co. Ltd. Its international maritime trade reaches over 300 ports in more than 80 countries and districts worldwide.
