Taking place between September 17-20, the 5th Landscape Archaeology Conference is a biennial series, co-ordinated by the International Association of Landscape Archaeology (IALA). Titled “Hidden Landscapes of Naxos”, the documentary reveals some of the lesser-known areas of the island and explores some of the hidden landscapes of the biggest island in the Cyclades through archives, monuments and narrations by people who live and work there. The documentary was directed by Vasia Hatziyiannakis and presented by Stelios Lekakis, professor at the University of Newcastle, who also conducted the research and wrote the script. The filming crew included cameraman Giorgos Kelidis, sound engineer Sotiris Tambanas and music curator Tzoulietta Karori. Furthermore, the New Media General Directorate of Greek Public Broadcaster ERT is responsible for the production in collaboration with the McCord Centre for Landscape of Newcastle University.
