From his new position Kostas will be responsible for the development of the company’s strategic business plan, also seeking new opportunities in the market including mergers and acquisitions. Kostas Giokas Furthermore, he will focus on the organization’s development through new initiatives aiming to meet the constantly evolving needs of its customers. “I am happy to undertake such an important position, at a time when the certification sevices sector is constantly changing and TÜV Austria Hellas is accelerating its digital development,” Kostas Giokas said. During the last 22 years, Kostas has had a successful career holding senior management positions in leading international tourism bodies and top Greek enterprises including Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Kyvernitis Travel SA and Travel Plan SA. “I look forward to collaborate with my new colleagues, who are devoted to TÜV Austria Hellas. I am sure that together, we can further enhance the company’s footprint in the Greek market, and contribute to the implementation of its strategic plan,” he added. Kostas will be based in Athens and report directly to TÜV Austria Hellas CEO Ioannis Kallias. “It is a pleasure to welcome Kostas Giokas. His long experience in management; knowledge on commercial issues, and skills constitute a great advantage for the company,” Kallias said. TÜV Austria Hellas has been active in Greece since 1994 and is a daughter company of the Austrian Organization of Inspection and Certification “TÜV AUSTRIA”, established in 1872 in Vienna. The company holds one of the leading positions in the Greek market at the sector of Management Systems Certification and Inspections – Certification of Material, Products, Machinery and Equipment, Building and Industrial Installations.
