Italian cruise line Costa Cruises is part of the Carnival Corporation, one of the largest cruise groups in the world, and represented in Greece by Cruiseway Travel. Starting on October 9 and until December 18, the company’s “Costa Luminosa” will be sailing the Adriatic Sea every week to Kotor in Montenegro, Split in Croatia, Venice and Bari in Italy. “Entertainment and fun onboard the cruise ship will be an unforgettable experience full of activities and pleasure,” an announcement said. Of the 1,200 people that departed from Greece in 2017 with Costa Cruises, 450 traveled onboard Costa Luminosa. Furthermore, Cruiseway Travel is offering unique cruise vacation packages for the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season, onboard the “Costa Diadema”, which departs from Savona, Italy. The packages include Aegean Airlines tickets to Milan for boarding in Savona. Costa Diadema will then travel to Marseille, Barcelona, Palermo and southern Italy, and will end its voyage in Savona, for passengers to return from Milan to Athens. Costa Smeralda Costa Cruises has also introduced its passengers to its newly-built “Costa Smeralda” cruise ship, which will be fully powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the world’s cleanest burning fossil fuel. The 337-meter cruise ship has 17 decks and can carry up to 2,612 passengers. She also includes 11 restaurants, 19 bars, pools and spas which surround its central area, the Colosseo.
