The five-star Lindian Village Hotel, located on the north of the Dodecanese island, will host the six-day event which aims to highlight the special characteristics that distinguish southern regions of the world. Held under the auspices of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), the South Aegean Region and the Rhodes Municipality, the festival spotlight will fall on the gastronomic and art traditions of Rhodes, Italy and France, with organizers hoping to establish it as a yearly happening that will bring together the world’s southern regions. Cooking workshops, concerts, theater shows, wine and food tasting happenings, video art, installations, exhibitions, poetry readings, film screenings, dance theater performances and much more, all aim to celebrate the uniqueness of ‘southern traits’. Owned by the Sviriadis family, the Lindian Village opened in 2005 offering the finest hospitality and currently running the “Experience Greece” program featuring immersive activities that aim to bring visitors closer to local culture.
