Athens-based Mideast Travel Worldwide has been nominated as the “World’s Leading Destination Management Company 2018” at the 25th World Travel Awards (WTA) to take place in Lisbon, Portugal. Hailed as “the Oscars of the travel industry”, the awards acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. “Our nomination as the world’s leading DMC has exceeded our expectations. The fact that we are nominated alongside leading names of the global travel industry fills us with satisfaction,” said Mideast Travel general manager Katerina Mousbeh. “‘Aim for the moon’, some say… ‘Even if you miss you will be among the stars’,” she added. Mideast is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, and has thus far received multiple honors. The company was announced “Europe’s Leading Destination Management Company 2018” at the 25th World Travel Awards (WTA) Europe Gala ceremony, which was recently held in Athens. The winner of the “World’s Leading Destination Management Company 2018” title will be unveiled on December 1, during the WTA Grand Final gala ceremony at the Pátio da Galé, in Lisbon, Portugal.
