Destinations news Crete to Host 20th FEG European Tourist Guides Meeting by GTP editing team 23 October 2018 written by GTP editing team 23 October 2018 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 11 The coastal city of Heraklion on the island of Crete is preparing to host the 20th European Tourist Guides Meeting and the 1st delegates Annual General Meeting of the European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (FEG) between November 20-25. The event is expected to gather some 200 tourist guides from 25 countries around the world, who will attend guided tours, lectures and life-long training seminars. Participants will also have the opportunity to network, taste the local products and experience the famous Cretan hospitality. Furthermore, the program includes a pre-event tour in Chania and Rethymno on Crete, and a post-event tour in Athens, Argolis and Delphi. The FEG European Tourist Guides Meeting is organized in a different European city, every November, and constitutes a great opportunity for professional tourist guides to meet after the end of the season.
