The Metropolitan in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, has changed its category and will operate as an official four-star hotel as of November 1. Located near Thessaloniki’s renowned White Tower, the hotel is 1.5 kilometers to the east of the city and just five minutes away from the area’s New Promenade. Following a strategic investment project, the hotel’s management fully refurbished its rooms in late 2017 into Classic, Superior, Junior Suite and Premium Suite types, giving them a sophisticated design with a modern touch. In addition to its total upgrade, the Metropolitan has been awarded with the Green Key certification, meeting a set of high standard environmental requirements. Twin Classic. Aiming to offer its guests the best of services, the hotel’s technology has also been upgraded and offers free high-speed WiFi in all premises, while a wired Ethernet cable connection has been added to all of the rooms. “Aware of the needs of our business and leisure guests, we have placed the qualitative upgrading of our technology services at the top of our priorities,” the hotel’s management said. In addition, management also invested in its breakfast menu, offering Greek local products and specialties, and was awarded with the “Greek Breakfast” certification. The breakfast buffet also includes the classic American buffet for its international clients. “In just a few words, our vision is to offer a ‘Home away from Home’ to all of our guests,” the hotel’s management said.
