Aiming to promote the sports tourism events that run in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese, the South Aegean Region will participate in the ERGO Marathon Expo 2018, to be held during November 8-10 in the Greek capital, in parallel with the “Athens Marathon. The Authentic”.

Participating in the expo for the fourth consecutive year with a stand, the Region will provide visitors and athletes with information on the running and other sports events taking place on the Aegean islands, in its effort to promote special experiences and alternative forms of tourism.

“We support sports events, which we combine with tourism and culture activities, aiming to promote the unique experiences offered in the South Aegean,” said South Aegean Vice Governor for Tourism, Sports and Culture Marietta Papavisiliou.

“Sports events constitute an incentive for the increase of travel and promote the destinations throughout the tourism market,” she added.
