Athens-based hospitality experts Simple Way of Tourism (SWOT) will be managing the operations of a new Marriott Autograph Collection hotel on the Greek island of Mykonos, starting in 2019. “It’s a great honor for our company to enjoy the trust of Marriott, the world’s leading hotel company. SWOT will continue pursuing its vision with diligence and persistence through strategic partnerships and organic growth,” said SWOT founder and CEO George Constantinidis. The new 5-star, 76-room hotel is situated in Kalo Livadi and will operate under the name AEGON. Hospitality management firm SWOT has been certified by Marriott International to run operations for its latest Autograph Collection unit set to open in May next year. Marriott first launched its Autograph Collection operations in Greece, in 2015 through its commercial partner Ledra Hotels and Villas SA with the adults-only Domes Noruz Chania and Domes of Elounda on Crete. The hospitality giant plans to open a new Autograph hotel in central Athens under the name “Academia of Athens Hotel, Marriott Autograph Collection”. Internationally, and under the motto: ’’We are a Collection of Brands… Not a Branded Collection of Hotels’’, Marriott operates more than 80 hotels in the US, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and South America, and manages a portfolio of 30 hospitality brands.
