Our plans are to make Thessaloniki known in every corner of the world

Thessaloniki is a favorite destination for visitors all over the world throughout the year.

The efforts of the hoteliers to make Thessaloniki a city break destination have paid off. The “bet” for the members of the Thessaloniki Hotels Association (THA) to combine quantity and quality in the offered tourist services has been won thanks to the hoteliers’ commitment towards this direction. Our services satisfy even the most demanding customer.

Besides, the positive image that tourists get from the amenities of our hotels is recorded in figures in the THA’s data. Hoteliers have worked hard to make our businesses competitive with the corresponding European cities, thus managing to become a decisive factor in the economic development of Thessaloniki.

We have participated in major international tourism fairs, celebrating the destination worldwide, while through actions and events we have given many countries of the world a taste of the advantages of Thessaloniki .

Our gastronomy concept Thessbrunch has succeeded in linking Greeks abroad to their homeland through the online contest. In the process, the concept was adopted by the hotels and gave rise to a great number of individual campaigns, aiming at the high quality of the local gastronomy.

Our plans are to make Thessaloniki known in every corner of the world. To this end, we will continue to participate in international competitions and intensify the marketing and promotion activities of the wider region.

However, the THA’s efforts alone are not enough. We have clearly stated that it is absolutely necessary to engage all relevant tourism operators on a common ground with a mutual aim: further tourism development in Thessaloniki and the arrival of even larger numbers of tourists.

Our common goal should be the satisfaction of our guests, not only during their stay in the hotels, but also, by their visit to our tourist attractions. This involves their easy and secure access to the monuments and squares of Thessaloniki, so as to get a positive opinion of the image of our city and transfer it to their homeland.

Thessaloniki has become the gastronomy capital of Greece and having a rich cultural heritage, is utterly capable of transforming each visitor’s journey into a unique experience.
