Greetings 2018 Key Tourism Figures 2018: Stathis Skretas, President HATTA by GTP editing team 1 November 2018 written by GTP editing team 1 November 2018 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 24 HATTA, always thinking collectively, has as its primary objective the benefit of the sector it represents As you know, last year HATTA reached 90 years of continuous presence in the field of Greek Tourism, providing service to both the country and member tourism agencies. These years were not easy and it took many battles — which are still going on today — struggling with the conditions and the margins, so that we can pave the way for our vision and promote the Greek tourism product. Nowadays, HATTA has the absolute recognition as a representative of Greek travel agencies on a worldwide level, a fact that has created partnerships between all agencies within the country, as well as with foreign associations and organizations; bringing positive results to whatever might be a problem for the development of tourism. [/column] HATTA, always thinking collectively, has as its primary objective the benefit of the sector it represents, as well as the positive performance of the results of its actions, based on the development of our tourism, in order to achieve better results. We would be delighted if in our efforts, the support and recognition from the part of the State would be positive in every step. Unfortunately, this is not always happening — as it should. We need to insist almost every day on meetings, debates and long-standing demands in order to convince of the correctness of our positions, leading the way for the next steps in our strategy. We have done much, but we still have a lot to achieve, since some important projects and pieces of legislation that are already being promoted need to be understood, with a lot of difficulty on the part of the agencies and the state. Finally, I would like to wish on behalf of the tourist agents, throughout the family of the tourist product of Greece, recognition and success in their work.
