Up until now, it has been announced that the Athens metro, the electric railway (ISAP) and the tram will not be running as the transport company STASY workers union will participate in GSEE’s 24-hour strike mobilization. Also, workers of the OASA buses will hold work stoppages (buses will will operate only between 9am – 9pm) while employees of the ILPAP trolley-buses will not operate for 24 hours. GSEE is demanding for the government to restore collective agreements with raises in wages and pensions and for the minimum wage in Greece to return to 751 euros. Among other things, the STASY workers union is demanding for improved working conditions in the transport sector and the upgrade of the services provided to passengers. Seamen are also participating in the strike so all passenger ferries will remain docked across Greece on November 28.
